Research Interests

My research is in

  • classical general relativity, in particular in gravitational lensing, please see my Living Review: Gravitational lensing from a spacetime perspective, Living Rev. Relativity 7 (2004) 9,  http://www.livingreviews.org/lrr-2004-9,
  • classical electrodynamics, including nonlinear electrodynamics, e.g. the initial value problem, the geometry of light cones and the self-force,
  • Finsler modification of classical general relativity.
