OPEN ZARM: The Bremen Drop Tower opens its doors!
On the occasion of a very special milestone, the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) at the University of Bremen is holding an open day: we are celebrating the 10,000th experiment in the Bremen Drop Tower.
Big or small, there is something to discover for everyone. Not only the Drop Tower, but also the GraviTower Bremen Pro, the new laboratory for research in weightlessness, can be extensively explored.
And that's not all. Have you always wanted to know what a house on Mars would look like and how it would be supplied with oxygen? Or why it is so difficult to build a gas station in space? And did you know that fire behaves very differently on a space station than it does on Earth?
From quantum physics to children's programs, there is something for everyone. Admission is free, of course. Join us on Sunday, February 11, 2024 to see our laboratories and research in action.
Date: February 11, 2024
Time: 11 am to 5 pm
Location: ZARM, Am Fallturm 2, 28359 Bremen, Germany
