Our group focuses on drop tower experiments with ultra-cold atoms where we study the physics of these quantum systems in extended free fall. These free fall experiments provide a unique approach towards tests of gravity theory and quantum physics in a new parameter regime. We are also engaged in the development of new concepts and tools for space- and ground-based matter-wave interferometry, as well as tests of fundamental physics using these quantum sensors.more...
