Visitor information / guided tour details
Dear guests,
We are pleased that you are interested in a guided tour.
Whether as an individual, small or large group - here you will find
our current offers.
We are looking forward to your visit.
ZARM - Center of applied space technology and microgravity
The drop tower Bremen.
In an easy-to-understand presentation - including small hand experiments - we explain how the drop tower works and what we do in it.
Afterwards, we will show the ZARM integration hall, where our experiments are prepared. Depending on the operation, we can take a look at the deceleration system of the drop tower and at the prototype of a moon and Mars station.
We recommend a minimum age limit of 12 years for the individual tours.
The duration of the tour is about 75-90 minutes in total.
Unfortunately a tour to the top of the tower is not part of the tour. However, there are options out of the standard operational/working hours, see (drop tower tip) for details.
Presentations/tours in english are subject to staff availability.
Outreach:
Interested schools or AG's that deal with topics typical of ZARM are supervised by scientists free of charge.
For example, scientific profiles or STEM projects from middle school onwards are addressed.
Different group options and rates:
agreed Appointments on workdays:
young talent groups up to 25 persons | free of charge |
Group of up to 15 persons | 200 EUR flat |
